Extra requirements Day 2 Amazon FBA
I now have a bunch of books and CD's to sell on Amazon. So the next step would be to find the best way to sell them. I could ship them all to Amazon, I could ship them to each buyer when I receive a purchase on amazon or I could even sell them elsewhere if need be. But in reality nothing is ever simple especially for the first time. I will have to do my research on how to get my items out the door but first I remembered I still need to finish setting up my account.
Today after vacuuming the house, getting the dishes done, cleaning printer heads by hand and every other little thing that could happen in ones life I got around to the next step in this Amazon FBA process. So initially when you set up your account Amazon asks for a bunch of information including your Social Security number. Yet after you reach your account, you need to send them more information.
To complete account setup you need to give Amazon a valid ID (in the U.S your drivers licence or equivalent Id). You also need to do give them a Bank statement from the passed 90 Days. Also the bank statement Address needs to match your current address for Amazon. I needed to update this since I moved. On the bank statement they advise to get rid of the dollar amounts as well as your account number. I had planned to print out the statement and then get rid of these and then scan back to the PC. But of course my printer heads needed to be cleaned by hand. So I saw luckily I had an option to download a text version of my statement. I uploaded it to amazon with my ID. I soon received an email letting me know they could not verify my information with the uploaded statement. So I took screen snippets of the pdf version, removed the cash values as well as the account number. Crossing my fingers I hope this one worked.
As luck would have it, despite the fact that Amazon says this approval could take up to 3 days and all my other bad luck today trying to get set up I was approved seconds after uploading the PDF version of the bank statement. So in conclusion, when you get started you will need your Id, bank statement and everything could take up to 3 days for approval or you could luck out and be approved instantly. Best of luck to anyone getting started on Amazon.
